Latitude59 Opens Applications for 2026 Kenya Pitch Competition

African startups can now apply to pitch at Latitude59 Kenya, which returns to Nairobi on December 3–4 for its fourth consecutive year.

The Estonian tech conference will kick off with investor meetings and side events on December 3, before the main conference and pitch competition take over the following day.

The pitch competition is for early-stage B2B startups with core teams based in Africa. Applicants need to show a strong technology component, a scalable business model, a working MVP and clear traction, while actively raising funding.

Only ten startups will make it to the final stage. Those selected will receive pitch training and mentorship before competing on the main stage for non-equity funding and prizes from Latitude59's partners.

One finalist will receive a fast-track invitation to Latitude59 2027 in Estonia, with the organisers covering round-trip travel costs.

Founders have until November 2 to apply, with applications having opened on September 17.

The competition is also becoming a gateway into a larger investor gathering. Last year's Kenya edition attracted about 2,000 attendees, including investors from Africa, Europe, the Nordics and Asia. Around 600 investors are expected in Nairobi this year.

Latitude59 is extending that regional push beyond Kenya too. The event will hold pre-events in Uganda and Zambia for the first time, ahead of the Nairobi conference.
