Lisk launches startup support program

The program comes at a time when developers are increasingly looking for modular, developer‑friendly blockchains that can scale without sacrificing security. Lisk, which has positioned itself as a “JavaScript‑first” platform for sidechains, hopes the support scheme will lower the barrier to entry for startups that lack deep blockchain expertise. “From idea to product, and from product to scale, we want to make sure founders don’t build alone,” the Lisk team wrote in its announcement.
Applicants will receive help refining product‑market fit, improving developer experience, and crafting launch strategies. The support package includes access to Lisk’s SDK, architectural reviews, and connections to potential investors and partners in the broader crypto ecosystem. Lisk also promises community exposure through its channels, giving projects a platform to reach a global audience of developers and users.
Similar initiatives from Polygon, Solana and Near have helped seed dozens of projects that later secured venture funding or integrated into larger DeFi and NFT ecosystems. By bundling technical aid with market‑oriented mentorship, Lisk is betting that a more holistic approach will yield higher‑quality dApps and sidechains that can compete in an increasingly crowded space.
The timing aligns with Lisk’s recent upgrades to its sidechain framework, which now supports faster block times and more flexible consensus mechanisms. Those enhancements, combined with the new support program, could make Lisk a more attractive home for developers seeking to launch custom blockchains without the overhead of building infrastructure from scratch.
Startups interested in the program can submit their proposals through the official application form. Lisk has indicated that the first cohort will be selected later this quarter, with ongoing support extending into the next 12 months.
